HDT

HDT automotive wire with heavy-wall PVC insulation, SAE J1128 compliant and rated -40°C to +80°C/60V. Ideal for batteries, power circuits, and rugged off-road wiring.

HDT Automotive Wire – Heavy-Wall PVC Insulated Cable for 12V/24V Vehicle Power and Battery Systems

HDT automotive wire is a heavy-wall primary wire insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), built for durability, flame resistance, and mechanical protection in harsh automotive environments. Designed for 12V and 24V electrical systems, HDT wire is ideal for car battery cables, power distribution circuits, and rugged off-road wiring applications.

With a temperature rating of -40°C to +80°C and voltage up to 60V, HDT offers superior insulation thickness compared to TWP and GPT, making it suitable for high-load, vibration-prone, or abrasion-sensitive environments. It is manufactured in compliance with SAE J1128 and widely used by OEMs and aftermarket harness manufacturers.

Features

  • Operating temperature range: -40°C to +80°C

  • Voltage rating: Up to 60V

  • Heavy-wall PVC insulation for increased abrasion and impact resistance

  • Stranded bare copper conductor for reliable conductivity

  • Complies with SAE J1128 Type HDT

  • RoHS and lead-free compliant

 Application

  • Car battery cables and main power distribution lines

  • Battery-to-fuse box and alternator connections

  • Cabling for trucks, RVs, trailers, and agricultural machinery

  • Power wiring exposed to mechanical abrasion or fluid splash

  • Harsh environments in off-road and commercial vehicle systems

HDT wire provides enhanced toughness and heat resistance, making it the preferred PVC solution for demanding automotive power and battery applications where durability and electrical reliability are critical.
